This decadent, star-studded restaurant, unveils its beauty in the back of a pawn shop and down a winding staircase. With four dining rooms (two private), two bars, a lounge and a women’s bathroom with a personal salon, Beauty & Essex is its own version of food-heaven Narnia. Start off with some cornmeal fried oysters; continue with the Beauty & Essex burger, made with brisket, short rib and lamb and lastly (but definitely not least), top it off with a box of vanilla beignets with chocolate hazelnut crème and raspberry jam.
